Welcome Drinks
Our Conference will open with welcome drinks on Friday the 9th June at the Marriott’s Poolside Pergoda. This event provides an opportunity for instructors to mingle and catch up over informal drinks and canapes. Drinks will commence from 6pm and conclude at 8pm. As this is an outdoor event, we do suggest bringing something warm.
Please note food choices are light in nature, and served in cocktail style by roving waitstaff during the course of the function. The menu will include a mix of dishes, including:

Salt and pepper calamari, sauce gribiche

Tempura prawns with soy dipping

Peking duck spring rolls

Double herb crumbed risotto balls with garlic aioli (V)

Vegetarian spring rolls with chilli dipping (V)

Tomato and brie tartlet (V)
Please note that dinner is not provided. Delegates can dine at one of many nearby restaurants only a few moments away from the Marriott Hotel, plus the following two restaurants in the hotel itself

Adults: $85.00 per person, Children 5-12 years: $42.50 per person (4 years and under free)

Bookings are recommended for large groups, for which set menus are on offer.
For options beyond the hotel, Surfers Paradise has a wide variety of casual dining options, such as Costa D’oro Pizza, Hurricanes, Elston bistro. Or, head north to Main Beach and visit Marina Mirage for waterside dining at Glass.
